Find out exactly what score you need on the final to hit the grade you want. Enter three numbers — that’s it. Free, no signup, runs in your browser.
Tip: “Final is worth” is the final exam’s percentage of your overall grade (check your syllabus — often 15–30%).
Required final = (target − current × (1 − weight)) ÷ weight, where weight is the final’s share of your grade. For example, with an 88% now, a 90% goal, and a final worth 20%: you’d need a 98% on the final.
The target grade isn’t reachable with this final alone — you’d need extra credit or a curve. Try a slightly lower target to see what’s realistic.
Good news — you’ve already locked in the grade even if you bombed the final. The number shown is the minimum you need to still hit your target.
